How To Pack For A One Night Trip
I recently had to travel a couple hours away to Portland Oregon for a show that I was attending. An untimely flu ripped through my friend Greg’s house, where I was supposed to stay, so I ended up at a Courtyard Marriot near the airport and convention center.
Packing for one night trips can be a little tricky because it’s tempting to bring a bunch of stuff. I decided an overnight duffle bag and my smaller backpack would do the trick and I was right.
My trip was a Thursday to Friday, weather in the 40’s through 60’s, and no major social plans in the evening to dress for.
In my duffle bag I brought the following:
1 Pair of Extra Pants: Jeans
1 Grey Short Sleeve Polo Shirt: Target (All in Motion)
1 Black 1/4 Zip Sweater: Golf Brand Hager
1 Pair Gym Shorts
1 Black T-Shirt: Target (All In Motion)
1 Pair of Boxers: REI
Shoes: Vans (With 1 pair of Darn Tough 1/4 height Hike/Run socks in each shoe)
Puffy Jacket: Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer
Small USB Powered Fan
10,000 MAH USB Battery Block (This would go in my backpack if I was flying, can’t check batteries and bags get gate checked all the time now)
Bluetooth Speaker: (Same as above, wouldn’t pack if it was a flight)
Dop Kit
Deodorant, Tooth Brush and Tooth Paste, Lotion, Razor, Q Tips, Cologne, Blistex, Melatonin, Comb, Pommade.
In my backpack I brought the following:
14” Macbook Pro
12.9” iPad Pro
Leather Journal
Tech Pouch
Charger Block, USB - Cables & adapters, computer mouse, SSD Hard Drive, Pens, Apple Pencil, Slide Advancer
5,000 MAH Batter Block
Camera Pouch
Sony A6500, DJI Action 5, DJI Mic Mini’s, DJI Pocket 2, Shotgun Microphone, Batteries, ND Filter, Accessories
Travel Tripod: Cayer CH10L with a Falcam Quick Release
Water Bottle
Rain Jacket: Mountain Hardwear Stretch Ozonic
