Weekend Camping Trip To Mt. Hood

“Hey babe, you wanna go on a weekend camping trip with the dogs to Mt. Hood in a couple weeks?” my wife asked me as the real Oregon summer really started to set in for both of us. Warm days, drenched in sun, split right down their middles with a belt of cold rivers and melting snow from the mountain above us.

We loaded up the car with some pretty basic car camping gear and drove about three hours inland from Astoria for our first adventure near Hood.
